Skydiving Freefall

When you think of adrenalin sports and air adventures, skydiving usually comes to mind. Sky diving has a long history both recreationally and throughout militaries.

Andre-Jacques Garnerin may have been the first back in 1797 when he successfully sky dived from a hot air balloon. Only in 1953 did sky diving become an international sport.

Typically your first jump will be tandem with an instructor who will first brief you on safety and how to position your body during the jump. Shortly after you will be up in the air peaking out at about 4,000 metres (13,000 ft) and this is when the nerves really kick in, particularly as you are edging closer to the door. Your instructor will make the jump and within seconds the plane you leapt from seems miles away.

Although the feeling is hard to describe, the skydiving freefall itself doesn’t seem to give you a feeling of falling at high speeds, even though the skydiving freefall is huge.

This is because the ground doesn’t seem to get any closer until at last you arrive at the point where the instructor pulls the shoot. Some people believe that this would be the most frightening part of the extreme skydive however the deceleration is actually quite smooth.

Floating down to Earth is where you get to truly see the beauty of the land below and makes you really appreciate the beauty of the world we live in. For example skydiving the reef… that is the Great Barrier Reef. While most people who travel here they spend a day or two on a snorkelling tours and then have nothing else to do. But what if you could see this natural wonder while falling 13,000 ft? It’s literally a breathtaking way to view  the Great Barrier Reef.

The skydiving freefall takes 5 to 7 minute and will just entice you to jump again and again. In no time you will be jumping solo and in groups of other sky divers plus once you are a pro then maybe you could even skydive in formation free falls. There are sky diving venues all over the world so if you want that adrenaline kick this is for you.

What Makes a Good Online Product?

Price:

weight ratio The price:weight ratio needs to be high; that is the price, in comparison to the weight, needs to be high. Books have a very high price:weight ratio— a book might be worth, say, /lb. Sugar might be around 35 cents/lb. The price:weight ratio issue is why it’s hard to sell sugar, cement, and charcoal online.

Availability Less available is good.

Available everywhere is bad. That’s why it’s hard to sell candy bars online.

Information products

Products that are essentially information sell well online.Books, reports, reference materials, even music is an information product, really. Why do they do well online? Because online technology provides a very efficient way to deliver information. It’s fast and it’s cheap. It’s no wonder that books were the first major product category online and remain one of the primary categories.

Complicated products requiring research The Internet is the perfect research tool, of course. Products that require careful selection—products with many different features— often do well online.

Wide selection of specialty products

An example is one of the earliest small-biz successes, HotHotHot.com, an online success for over a decade. Sure, you can find hot sauce in any grocery store. But can you find Jamaican Hell Fire, Rigor Mortis Hot Sauce, 99%, or 3:00 AM ? (The company provides 100 different brands.) Have you even heard of these? Another example is RedWagons.com. Certainly you can find two or three different Radio Flyer wagons in most toy stores, but where else can you find every Radio Flyer product made—steel wagons, plastic wagons, trikes, scooters, retro rockets, roadsters, and everything else?

Great Deals:
Deals There’s a class of goods that crosses all classes, and even covers products that you might think of as Not Good Internet Products. If you can sell a particular product at a very low price, you may have a good Internet product. Hey, if you can get the price of sugar down low enough, you might be able to sell that online.

“Cool” products that sell themselves through word of mouth There are some products that are just so cool, people tell their friends. One company that gets fantastic word of mouth is ThinkGeek.com, which sells tons of really cool stuff.Another example of a great word-of-mouth site is Despair.com. This company sells products that people put on their office walls and laugh about with their friends.

No need to touch, smell, or even see clearly. Products that really require a close view generally don’t sell well online. That’s why it’s hard to sell furniture online and difficult to sell unique works of art or perfume. And that’s why well-known brands can sell online.because people know what they’re getting. In other words, although it’s hard to sell perfume that your potential buyers have never smelled, it’s not hard to sell perfume from Christian Dior.

High value products are good.

You may do better selling a 0 product than a product. You’ll have less competition—making it easier to compete using Pay Per Click and in natural search—and will make much higher “margins” (grossprofit). Low-price products can be very difficult to deal with online. Think very seriously before selling anything below, say, , unless you’re pretty sure you can really pump out high volumes.

Junk is hard to sell

This may sound obvious, but it’s amazing how many merchants just post any kind of junk online and hope to make a business out of it. Mass produced statuettes of kittens from China, junk jewelry, handicrafts from the wilds of Wisconsin come on, you can do better!

Products you understand and love

These are easier to sell. If you have a passion for skydiving, there’s a natural business for you selling skydiving products.Having said all that, it’s important to realize that every rule can be broken. Groceries can be sold online, for instance. Diamonds, products that most jewelers would say need to be looked at carefully before purchase, are selling very well online. And though Furniture.com crashed and the big grocery-store sites (PeaPod.com and WebVan.com) went down with it, some companies are selling furniture online and some companies are selling groceries online. (PeaPod, for instance, was bought up by a grocery chain.) So, you can break the rules. But you’d better have a good reason to believe that it will work.

How to tell if a digital camera has character and endurance?

from http://cielphoto.blogspot.com/

How do you tell if a digital camera has character and endurance? When the digital camera is found working after surviving a 3000 feet skydiving experience!

This is precisely what had happened, when a skydiver accidentally drops his digital camera and video recorder during a skydiving trip.

I am glad that these gadgets didn’t land on someone’s head!

Looking for a digital camera as a gift for your boyfriend or husband?

In my article, One year anniversary gift for boyfriend: Digital Camera, I shared about giving a digital camera for your boyfriend or husband as a gift.

If you are looking for a digital camera as a gift, why not consider the Canon Rebel series, as this Canon Rebel XT survived miraculously from 3000 feet!

I am sure you want your love relationship to endure as much as that camera!

As you can see, the video camera was destroyed by the impact.

And I expected that the Canon Digital Camera wouldn’t be any different from the video camera.

However, the camera survived and was found working well!

Isn’t this digital camera strong?

From http://cielphoto.blogspot.com/. Click on the photo to enlarge.

This is how it looks like after the impact in close view.

Please do not try throwing your digital camera at home to test out its endurance! it was purely an accident that this happened.

Where can you buy this camera?

It is unfortunate, but this Canon Rebel XT is more than 5 years old and it is difficult to find it in the market right now.

However, newer versions of the Rebel series has been produced lately, such as the Canon EOS Rebel T1i, where is has more capabilities and functions than its predecessors.

Some of the capabilities of the Canon EOS Rebel T1i are as follows:

15.1 megapixel CMOS sensor
DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor
9-point Auto Focus
ISO settings up to 6400
Compatibility with Canon’s complete line of EF and EF-S lenses
HD video capture (This is a relatively new and great feature to have.)
3-inch Clear View LCD monitor

The guide is intended for ladies, as many of them do not like too much information or technicals. If you desire a more detailed guide on how to choose a digital camera, do let me know in the comments page.

Final words for this article

Getting a good digital camera can be a difficult task, especially if it is meant to be a gift for someone else.

I have asked my friend about the Canon Rebel series, and he said it is an affordable and great DSLR camera to have for a relatively low cost.

So do check out the Canon EOS Rebel T1i if you want to look for a digital camera.

This article is slightly edited and taken from BoyfriendGiftIdeas.org, where I share about boyfriend gift ideas to loving girlfriends and wives.

Do you have a digital camera as sturdy as the Canon Rebel XT that survived 3000 feet?
